04.45 pm meeting with our guide in front of "Statua della Gattamelata" (Gattamelata Statue) in front of the Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua – Piazza del Santo – Padua

(For those interested, we recommend arriving a little earlier and visiting the Basilica of Saint Anthony, a place where devotion is inseparably intertwined with the art; inside it there will be an artistic overview of the followers of Giotto, then Donatello with its beautiful Renaissance, the Baroque, ending with contemporary art of Annigoni.)

  • The tour start with a nice walk through Padua historic centre; admiring the architecture of the historic buildings, the medieval arcades, the ancient squares animated by markets. The illustrated walk will continue until historic center, where we will meet the Tomb of Antenore, the monumental Torre dell'Orologio (Clock tower), the “Palazzo della Ragione” and the Palazzo Bo, seat of the University of Padua.
  • The walk will end at the famous Caffè Pedrocchi, with the visit of the Piano Nobile del Pedrocchi (Noble Floor of the Pedrocchi) and the typical Italian “Aperitivo” inside the symbols of the city, historic and sumptuous early 19th century café, of international fame.
  • The Noble Floor, in the upper floor, where a succession of rooms will meet, each furnished and decorated in order to recreate the typical setting of a specific historical period: Greek, Roman, Renaissance, Herculaneum, Egyptian and Moorish, a realization in line with the nineteenth-century eclecticism, the taste and interest for past styles. Next to the prestigious Noble Floor of the Pedrocchi is the little Museum of the Risorgimento and of the Contemporary Age, which documents facts and protagonists of the history of Padua.
  • Tasting and experience of the typical Italian “Aperitivo” with local Spritz and appetizer

End of the tour at about 06:45 pm
